Six SHS athletes are headed to next level

Sweetwater High School held a ceremony on Friday to announce that six of its senior students have made commitments to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
SHS football coach Ben McGehee announced the football commitments of Chris Thompson and Kobe Clark to Abilene Christian University; Kiante McCoy to Texas A&M University; Garret Ehlert to New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, N.M.; and Jeremiah Barrera to Texas College in Tyler. McCoy will be a preferred walk-on for the Aggies.
Also, SHS golf coach Al Hunt announced that Journee Pugh has committed to play golf at Western Texas College in Snyder.
The event was held at the high school auditorium.
