Roscoe teams sweep Highland in hoops doubleheader

Highland visited Roscoe on Tuesday in non-district basketball action and the host teams won both ends of the doubleheader.
In the girls game, Roscoe got its second win this season against Highland with a 41-30 victory. Roscoe’s boys defeated Highland 41-38 to complete the sweep.
Shauna McCambridge led Roscoe’s girls with 12 points with Victoria Martinez (9), Bonnie Wilkinson (7), Sadie McCambridge (5), Jovana Pena (4) and Riley Sheridan (4) also scoring. Highland was led by London Garrett with nine points while Zoe Cornett (6), Emilee Turner (6), Kenady Hall (4), Maggie Bowen (2), Kendra Baucom (2) and Jolenn Wood (1) also scored.
Brayan Medina led Roscoe with 10 points in the boys game while Hunter Anglin had nine, Jayden Gonzales and Junior Martinez eight, Brandon Lavalais four and Ryan Highsmith two. For Highland, Sam Spaulding led the team with 13 points while Eli Sauer tossed in nine, Richard Fomby six, Jacob Hamilton five, Nolan Montgomery three and Jordan Johns two.
