Roscoe High School has solved its recent dilemma of back-to-back open dates on its 2018 football schedule which was created by Roby’s decision to cancel most of its district slate, including an Oct. 5 game with Roscoe. Coach Jake Freeman said his team will play a non-district contest on Oct. 5 with Gruver, with the game held at Plainview. Roscoe now has five non-district games before starting district Oct. 12 against Hamlin in Roscoe.
The Plowboys will also have non-district games vs. Hawley, Stamford, Miles and Munday to begin the season before an open date on Sept. 28. The opener vs. Hawley is Aug. 31.
