Philharmonic, NCCIL partner for 'The Snowman'

Treat the children in your life to the magic of the holidays with a movie, music and fun-filled party immediately following the Abilene Philharmonic's holiday pops matinee at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. The audience will see the Academy Award-nominated film "The Snowman" and hear their favorite holiday carols. Then at 4:15 p.m. in the Abilene Civic Center lobby, the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature will make the afternoon truly delightful with the After Party! The party will include photo opportunities, Christmas crafts, music and more.
After-Party tickets are $10 for children and all ages (anyone participating in art activities).
Concert tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/military/college, $5 for children, and free for children age 5 and under.
"The Snowman" is a children's picture book without words by English author Raymond Briggs first published in 1978. The book was adapted into a 26-minute animated television special in 1982.
