New SHS coaches ready for soccer to make its debut

The year 2020 is just over two weeks away and it won’t be the only new thing for sports fans in Sweetwater to think about.
It’s also when the newest UIL sport at Sweetwater High School — soccer — officially begins its inaugural season of play.
And with soccer now on the school’s sports calendar, a pair of familiar faces on the campus will be in charge when the girls and boys seasons kick off Jan. 7.
Pam Lawrence and John Reddic — both Sweetwater ISD employees — have added the title of coach to their responsibilities with Lawrence coaching the girls and Reddic coaching the boys. Both teams will play all of their home games at Mustang Bowl.
