New Ministry Coming to Sweetwater

Staff Writer

Three years ago, while working with several individuals who were on the brink of becoming homeless, God planted a dream in the heart of Loran Rule, Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Sweetwater. It was a dream he argued with God about for well over a year before he finally submitted. “Sometimes the dreams before us just seem too big so we run, forgetting we serve a BIG God! But when God’s got a plan He’s called you to, there is no running away,” said Pastor Loran.
The big dream is a transitional living center for those living in homelessness, on the brink of becoming homeless, and those coming out of incarceration. The center would provide housing, assistance and training to help those who are suffering become self-sufficient. While the living center may be a few years away from becoming a reality, it’s not stopping Pastor Loran and the congregation of Emmanuel Fellowship from taking their first steps in that direction.
