NCUW golf tournament to be held Saturday

If you're looking for a great way to usher in the spring season this weekend, your search can come to an end. The 2013 Nolan County United Way (NCUW) Golf Tournament will be held this Saturday at the Sweetwater Country Club with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.This year's tournament will honor the life and service of the late Charles Roberson, who passed away in July 2012. He served on the NCUW board of directors for more than ten years and was also involved in many community activities and organizations."The NCUW board was honored to work with [Roberson] for a number of years," said Wendy Smartt, the executive director of the NCUW. "We want to highlight his years of service and love of community and golf at the tournament that will benefit the many agencies and organizations that he worked so hard to support."First Financial Bank & First Financial Trust are the sponsors for the $10,000 hole-in-one prize (winner/charity split) on hole #2 at the tournament, a 169-yard feat (154 yards for women).
