Living my whole life in West Texas, I’ve acclimated to the bipolarity of our weather and the chaos it brings. Wednesday’s snow storm is one thing I haven’t been acclimated to.
Beginning as a heavy rain storm on Wednesday night, the storm transitioned slowly into “Thundersnow”, raining down snow and sleet with the fury of the heavens. Within hours, the entirety of Sweetwater and the surrounding Big Country was encased, under siege by nature itself. With roads icy and slick and local institutions closing for the weather, sit back, and enjoy some hot cocoa, even though the snow is melted now, and I am sad about it.
