Sweetwater used a three-run sixth to take a 7-5 lead. Hannah Mobley and Bri Moriel scored the go-ahead runs following a dropped third strike, but Colorado tied it at 7 with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Lady Mustangs jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first on an RBI double by Blake Bewley and a three-run homer by Kaci Webb, Moriel scored on Bewley’s hit and Bewley and Emerald Torres also scored on Webb’s homer.
Colorado City, though, took a 5-4 lead with two runs in the bottom of the first and three more runs in the third.
