JV boys golfers win tournament, JV girls third

The Sweetwater High School JV boys golf team won first place this week at an invitational tournament held at Sweetwater Country Club.
Sweetwater shot a one-day total of 372 to edge Abilene Wylie’s JV by two strokes. Abilene High (393) was third and Lamesa (451) fourth.
Individually, Sweetwater's Harlie Sanders (91) was the third place medalist at the event. Also on the JV boys team were Devon Ford (92), Mason Wyrosdick (93), Chase Soles (96) and Christian Molina (106).
Sweetwater's JV girls golf team took third place in their division at the tournament.
Sweetwater shot a one-day total of 457 to finish behind only Snyder (412) and Wylie (440). Brownwood shot 480 to place fourth while Abilene High (546) was fifth and Lamesa (576) sixth.
Individually for Sweetwater, Samantha Torres shot 100 while Rachael Sparks shot 103, Victoria Reyna 117, Morgan Pointer 137, Jade Pinkerton 139 and Madison Sosa 140.
