S.N.A.P. is presenting its 33rd Annual Taste of Sweetwater on Monday, April 8.
The Taste of Sweetwater will take place at the Nolan County Coliseum Annex from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
There will be an admission fee for adults, a senior discount as well as a discount for children from four to twelve years old. Children under three years of age will get in for free.
Proceeds go to benefit senior citizen’s programs and Meals on Wheels for Sweetwater and Roscoe residents. There will be door prizes, cash and prizes for children to be given away.
Numerous local restaurants are participating in the yearly culinary extravaganza. Each area food business will have its own table set up where patrons may indulge in selected delectables until there is none left to serve.
The event is hosted by Senior Nutrition Activities Program (SNAP) as a benefit for the organization. The center, which is located at 1701 Elm, is a place for senior citizens to come together for conversation, games and other activities, which include, but are not restricted to, playing pool, cards, dominoes and working jigsaw puzzles. Tonya Challis is the SNAP Director.
