Kobe Clark is a first team all-state receiver again.
The Texas Sports Writers Association on Thursday released its all-state football team for Class 4A and named Clark — a 5-11, 170-pound senior at Sweetwater High School — to its first team as a wide receiver along with Jordan Whittington of Cuero.
Clark also received first team all-state recognition as a receiver-end from the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors in December, as well as APSE honorable mention at defensive back.
And those aren’t the only postseason honors that have been given to Clark.
He also was named to the All-Big Country Super Team — as a first team pick at receiver and defensive back — in January by the Abilene Reporter-News, as well as the newspaper’s All-Big Country team for Class 4A-6A, plus the 2-4A all-district team in December, when he was honored as Sweetwater’s Ironman representative. Finally, Clark earned honorable mention academic all-state honors from the Texas High School Coaches Association.
