Charity Walk to be Held in Abilene to Benefit Those Affected with Chiari Malformation

There will be a charity walk to take place in Redbud Park in Abilene on September 22 to benefit those with Chiari Malformation. Chiari Malformation is a serious neurological disorder affecting more than 300,000 people in the US.
The Conquer Chiari Walk Across America is a series of local awareness and fundraising walks held on the 3rd and 4th Saturday of September, uniting patients and their families across the country. Join us on this special day to help support the thousands of people struggling with this life changing diagnosis.
Proceeds will be used to fund Chiari research, education and awareness programs.
Participation is free. T-shirts will be provided for pre-registered walkers with a minimum donation.
This is the 11th Annual Conquer Chiari Walk Across America event.  The charity is asking that you would help spread the word and bring this terrible illness to the public’s attention. 
This is the first year the event will take place on September 22, 2018 at Redbud Park, 3125 S. 32nd St.  in Abilene, TX 79605.  This is a 1 mile event around Redbud Park to raise awareness for Chiari Malformation. Everyone is invited to participate in this free event.
There will be a raffle, music, food and family fun. Registration is at 9am and the walk begins at 10am. Come join the fun and help us rock the purple for a cure.
