‘Stangs fall at Seminole and Wichita Falls Rider

The Sweetwater boys had road games Tuesday at Seminole and Wednesday at Wichita Falls Rider in non-district basketball action.
Sweetwater lost 96-30 to Seminole, and the Mustangs fell 83-40 to Rider the following day.
Daiman Atkins scored 12 points for the team (2-13) vs. Seminole. Also scoring for the Mustangs were Darian Carr with eight, Jackson Foster and Jaden Hernandez with four and Logan King with two.
Atkins also led the Mustangs against Wichita Falls Rider with eight points while Carr, Hernandez and Logan Wedin all finished with six. Elijah Reyes scored five, Foster three and Jonathan Gallegos, Jon Davis and Tony Padilla two.
After facing three of its toughest opponents all season in its last three games, Sweetwater will get to enjoy a brief break before heading to Allen for a tournament starting Dec. 27.
The Mustangs then play their first games of 2019 on Jan. 2 at Levelland and on Jan. 4 at Monahans before starting district play Jan. 11 by hosting Snyder.
