A win at Big Spring — or Snyder loss — today puts Sweetwater’s volleyball team in the playoffs. Sweetwater is 2-4 with two matches left in District 5-4A play, the same record as Big Spring, which won the teams’ first 5-4A match in five games on Oct. 1.

Mustang Player of the Week

Nick Castillo (No. 70) is the Sweetwater Mustang Player of the Week. A senior offensive tackle, he recorded eight pancake blocks and allowed no sacks while helping the undefeated Mustangs rack up a total of 508 yards on just 47 snaps as they beat Lamesa 52-12 last Friday.

SHS spikers fall at Wylie to end 1st half of district play

Sweetwater High School’s volleyball team ended the first half of District 5-4A volleyball play by losing at Wylie on Tuesday.
The Lady Mustangs (1-3 in district) were swept in three games by scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-18.
