Black Friday on Thursday

In Sweetwater, several stores opened early to welcome shoppers to their Black Friday sales on Thursday evening. Wal-Mart had three different times for shoppers to take advantage of their sales, as the first kicked off at 8 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a 10 p.m. sale, as well as on 5 a.m. on Friday.
Another local store offering earlier sales was Bealls, with their first year to offer early savings starting on Thanksgiving night at 8 p.m. On Black Friday, they also opened early at 6 a.m. for door-buster sales and will remain open until 9 p.m.
Also on Black Friday, three local retailers opened early. Starting at 5 a.m., K-Mart offered sales, followed by Radio Shack — located inside Higginbotham Bartlett — at 6 a.m., and then Cato at 7 a.m.
