Sweetwater lost its opening pool play game 10-3 to the San Angelo Sliders, but then came back to win its second pool game 8-6 against the Abilene Diablos. Sweetwater then beat the Wylie Dawgs 6-5 on the tournament’s second day and defeated the Sliders 10-7 in a rematch to advance to the tournament championship, where the team romped to a 14-3 win over the ABA Thunder.
