The game appeared to be headed for overtime until Kaleb Hoover hit a tie-breaking layup as time ran out, just seconds after Lake View’s Ryan Chaney had hit a 3-pointer to tie the game and cap a rally from a 10-point deficit.
Hoover had 23 points and Rhett Torres (12) and Dylan Bennett (10) also hit double figures for the Mustangs, who will now face a tough Monahans team that is off to a 17-3 start after beating Denver City 76-57 in its last game on Monday.

The loss to Greenwood knocked Sweetwater out of first-place tie. Greenwood and Wylie are both 2-0.
Shelby Cason scored 11 points and Kelsi Crosson 10 for the Lady Mustangs (15-10 overall), who lost for the third time in their last four games.
