SHS senior awarded scholarship

Sweetwater High School senior Kyle Lambert was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Permian Basin Fair in Odessa.
Each year, the fair gives scholarships to high school senior 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) members who show livestock at the fair and complete the application and interview process.
Lambert is the Student Advisor of the Sweetwater FFA Chapter and First Vice President of the Area 2 FFA Association. On Sunday, September 9, he exhibited his market lambs at the Permian Basin Fair.
Lambert will use the scholarship to help further his education at Texas Tech University where he plans to major in Animal Science. He is a student of Katy Harkey, the Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor at Sweetwater High School, and the son of Scott and Carla Lambert of Sweetwater.
