Second public hearing held on city tax rate

Review of City Commission meeting held on Tuesday, August 21
The Sweetwater City Commission met on Tuesday morning, August 21 at City Hall to hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed tax rate of $0.463 (46.3 cents) for the 2012 Tax Year.
No input was offered, thus the public forum was closed and no action was taken.
The commissioners then approved scheduling a meeting on Tuesday morning, August 28, in order to vote on the tax rate. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. at City Hall.
