S’water track boys compete at Hamlin

Sweetwater’s boys track team competed at Hamlin this past Friday.
Nick Nemir placed first in the long jump (20-11 1/2), 110-meter hurdles (15.46) and 300-meter hurdles (43.08) and was fourth in the 100-meter dash. Bobby Soto was third in the 200 dash (23.89), while Isaiah McGee was third in the long jump (20-9 1/2) and Deandre Gatson was third in the triple jump (39-9).
All three relay teams for Sweetwater placed fourth. The 400 relay had McGee, Gatson, Kris Duran and Jay Lomas; the 800 relay included Duran, McGee, Lomas and Kaleb Hoover; and the mile relay had Hoover, Soto, Rhett Torres and Marquees Jenkins.
For the JV boys, Johna-than Browning was first in the high jump and triple jump and third in the 200 dash; Max Nemir was fifth in the 400 dash and tied for fifth in the high jump; Deshaun Williams was fourth in the high jump; Brandon Gutierrez was fourth in the 3,200 run; and the 800 relay of Browning, Williams, Jenkins and Col-by Greenwood was second.
