S’water, Burk set playoff next Monday at Guthrie

Sweetwater and Burkburnett will meet in a Class 4A bi-district girls basketball playoff game next week to begin postseason play.
It will be played at Guthrie High School and tips off at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Burkburnett is the No. 1 seed in 6-4A and Sweetwater is the No. 4 seed from 5-4A.
The only other area girls playoff team is Blackwell, which plays Rotan or Aspermont Tuesday in Merkel.
Sweetwater (2-6) ended its regular season Tuesday by losing to Wylie, the No. 1 seed from 5-4A, while Burkburnett comes off a loss against Wichita Falls Hirschi in its regular season finale that threw it into a tie with Graham at the end of district play. Burkburnett won a coin flip Wednesday that was held to determine the No. 1 seed.
Tickets will be $2 for students and $3 for adults.
Brownwood finished as the No. 2 seed and Snyder the No. 3 seed from 5-4A.
