Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital hosted a special event on Thursday, June 21, 2012, with a ribbon cutting and groundbreaking on two projects.
As part of a larger renovation project that began late last year, RPMH celebrated — with members of the community — the completion of updates to its medical/surgical wing with a ribbon cutting ceremony. More than 40 patient rooms were enhanced during the renovations with various updates, including six existing rooms modified to comply with Disability Act (ADA) standards.
In addition to room updates, all four of the hospital’s medical/surgical corridors were enhanced with new air supply and return grilles, lighting layout, as well as new ceilings and flooring. Updated electrical equipment were also installed and finished with improved work stations for hospital team members and improved hardware and décor.

This comment has nothing to do with this story but there's no good place to make it. I would like to suggest that the Reporter post letters to the editor online. Some are so inane they scream for rebuttal.

Sounds like a good idea. Would certainly make the online edition more interesting. I second the motion.
