As speedy as the completion of the new arena facility at the Nolan County Coliseum was, the WTRA is filling in that arena this weekend for a WTRA Rodeo competition. The rodeo will be held from Friday, June 9th until Sunday, June 11th, and it will begin with a good ole’ classic Barrel Racing competition Friday night at 7 pm. The following morning, a 40+ team roping event will begin at 8 am in the new arena facility while the main coliseum will host the WTRA sponsored events. Events in the WTRA rodeo event will include, but are not limited to, calf roping, team roping, poles, breakaways and bull riding. Winners in the rodeo’s competition will receive ribbons based on their performance while the year end winners and the all around finalists will receive saddles from WTRA representatives.
