New Year baby arrives at RPMH

Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital welcomed the 2013 New Year Baby on at 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1.
Clarissa Nicholee Martinez weighed eight pounds, four ounces and was 20.25 inches long. She is the daughter of Courtney and Imelda Martinez of Roscoe. She was also welcomed by a brother, Julian Martinez, 3. Grandparents are Martina and Juan Herrera of Roscoe, Melody Martinez of Sweetwater and the late Robert Martinez.
Little Clarissa arrived to a wide variety of gifts donated by local businesses. Among them were a calendar from Advantage Office Supply; a plant and stuffed animal from The Flower Box; a baby ring from Gems and Gold Jewelry; a $50 gift card from First Financial Bank; a $50 gift card from Brookshire's; a meal for two from La Cocina; a picture frame, stuffed animals and a sleeper from Latria's; a $50 gift card from Maloney Pharmacy; a blanket from the 99 Cent Store; a denim diaper cover from Dandy Western Wear; stuffed toys, a pacifier holder, slippers, a bib and a diaper shirt from Vickie's Gifts; a "Born To Read" bib from the County-City Library; a free meal for mom from Casa Morales; a free meal for mom from Schlotzsky's Deli; a free haircut for mom from Becca's Special Effects; $10 off of any purchase from Sweetwater Frame and Gallery; a pink bear, pink blanket and diaper shirt from the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; diapers, lotion, baby wash, teething toys, rattles, a bear and a large fleece blanket from Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital; and a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart.
