June 28, 2013

The newly built McDonald’s restaurant will host a Grand Opening for the public at midnight on July 1. The restaurant was knocked down and rebuilt in the same location as the former restaurant.

The wait is over. McDonald's in Sweetwater will officially be open to the public at midnight on July 1. The restaurant closed on March 31 and was completely knocked down and rebuilt in the same location at 201 NE Georgia. The new store will be open 24/7 in both lobby and drive-thru.
During the Grand Opening, from midnight to 5 a.m. Big Macs will be sold for just $1 each.
Power 103 radio station will be at the new McDonald's restaurant on Sunday night from 10 p.m. to midnight for a radio remote. "We will be giving away several McDonald’s goodies," said Kristi Taggart, McDonald's area supervisor. "Classic McDonald's characters Grimace and the Hamburglar will also be there."
Customers will have the opportunity to register all month long to win prizes such as an iPad, 50" Samsung television, Louis Vuitton purse, Taylor Made R-1 Driver, an Xbox 360 and McDonald's arch cards. Winners of these prizes will be announced Saturday July 27 at the Ronald Show.
The new restaurant has a double lane drive-thru, new dual point ordering system, state of the art restrooms and a new musical toddler area.
The new McDonald's is locally owned and operated by Ken, Casey and Kristi Taggart.
