Man dies after Nolan County crash

One person was killed and one injured in a one vehicle crash occurring on U.S. Highway 84 at the intersection with Farm Road 1982 in Nolan County.

One person was killed and one injured in a one vehicle crash occurring on U.S. Highway 84 at the intersection with Farm Road 1982 in Nolan County.
The crash occurred in Nolan County on Wednesday, July 11, at 6:40 p.m. One of the injured was pronounced dead late last night, July 15.
David Lee Jackson was driving a 2005 International Truck traveling northwest on U.S. Highway 84 and was attempting a lane change in a curve. Jackson lost control and entered the center median in a side skid and overturned. Frederick Barry Littlefield, 56 years of age from Dothan, Alabama, was pronounced dead at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas by Doctor Hirch. The next of kin have been notified. Littlefield was not wearing a seat belt.
David Lee Jackson, 49 years of age, was injured. Jackson was taken to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater where he was treated and released. Jackson was not wearing a seat belt.
The weather was clear and the road dry. This crash is being investigated by Trooper John Henry Nichols.
