A graveside service for Lela Pearl Ohlhausen, 96, of Sweetwater will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012, at Caps Cemetery near Abilene with her family officiating the service. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Ohlhausen died Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Gilmer. She was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Taylor County. She married Dr. Orlan Ohlhausen on March 6, 1938; Jack Jennings on Oct. 21, 1990; and W.H. Lagal on Oct. 12, 1997. All three husbands preceded her in death. She was a long time member of the 4th and Elm Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and catered wedding and anniversary cakes out of her home. She had lived in Sweetwater since 1951.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Pearl Burks of Austin; two sons, Orlan Dean Ohlhausen and wife Barbara of Winona, TX and Ray S. Ohlhausen and wife Zane of Hooks, TX; one sister, Claudie Wiggins of Weatherford, TX; and six grandchildren.
