Highland girls are playoff-bound again

Highland girls basketball team

The Highland girls basketball team is in the Class 1A playoffs for the 10th straight year and has a warmup game at Stamford at 8 p.m. today. Highland will begin the playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday with a bi-district game against Robert Lee in Bronte. Highland finished as the runnerup in District 11-A, Division II with a 10-2 record and is 19-10 overall. Members of the team are, front row from left, Morgan Monroe, Shyan Womack, Sophie Stice, Katy Fullwood, Lora Stewart, Kara Hughey, Kaitlyn Reyes, Kaylee Martin; back row, Hannah Allen, Megan Thompson, Beth Richburg, Sierra Allen, Callie Sandusky, Schyler Kimbrell, Julia Tibbit, Jessica McCain and coach Ryan Dollar.
