Hastings to host book signing

Tears and smiles for triumph come naturally following the emotional but ‘easy read’ of “The Stories of Fay” in the book, Deprivation Trauma, by Texas author Zalora Price. The book will be presented from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Hastings Books, 1102 E. Broadway in Sweetwater. 
Purchased books will be signed by the author. 
Growing up in a rural farm community, Fay is deprived of a life that would  be considered normal within today's society. Living in poverty with her family as share-croppers and working alongside Mexican day workers, she struggles with the harshness of life. She lives only to survive for another day. Meanwhile, she struggles to understand her family, who seem determined to survive when it is a choice between them or her, and the community folk whose behavior confuses her.  With strength of will power and determination her triumphs will amaze you.
