Griselda Aguirre Villarreal

Funeral services for Griselda Aguirre Villarreal, 42, of Sweetwater, will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Fabio Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Culto Funebra was held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Villarreal died on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
She was born Jan. 24, 1970, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. She married Homar Villarreal on Dec. 27, 1997, in San Antonio. She was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana Espiritual Church. She gave her time to church activities and was a member of the church choir. She did a lot of social work helping the sick and bringing food to people in need. Her priority in life was to love and educate her children the best she could.
Survivors include her husband, Homar Villarreal of Sweetwater; three daughters, Griselda Villarreal, Graciela Villarreal and Vasthi Villarreal, all of Sweetwater; her parents, Joel and Sara Aguirre of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; brother, Alfredo Aguirre and wife Consuelo Garcia of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; sister, Ruth Arenas and husband Cesar of Chicago, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Saul Martinez, Alfredo Aguirre, Cuauhtemoc Ochoa, Baldermar Salazar, Ruben Martinez and Manuel Cardenas.
