Grass fire on County Road 419 in Fisher County

Local fire departments responded to a grass fire on County Road 419 in Fisher County on Thursday morning. According to Sweetwater Fire Chief Grant Madden, the fire burned about four acres of grass and seemed to be started by a power line problem. The fire is still under investigation. Three Sweetwater Fire Department trucks and three Fisher County trucks were dispatched to the fire. "We overloaded the scene with resources because of the high winds and dry conditions. Under normal conditions, we wold not have called so many trucks, but there was nothing normal about today's conditions. It worked out well."
