Girls golf teams will host Classic starting Friday

The Sweetwater High School girls golf teams will be hosting the annual Sweet-water Girls Golf Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Sweetwater Country Club.

The Sweetwater High School girls golf teams will be hosting the annual Sweet-water Girls Golf Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Sweetwater Country Club.
Friday’s play will begin at 9:07 a.m. on the No. 1 and No. 10 holes. The scores will determine Saturday pairings, and Saturday’s play will have a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. The top three teams and medalists will receive awards following the 36-hole event’s conclusion on Saturday.
Sweetwater will have two teams entered, as will Abil-ene Cooper, while Wylie, Abilene High, Christoval, Jim Ned, Lamesa, Level-land, Midland Greenwood and Monahans will also have teams competing in this year’s event.
Sweetwater, Hamlin, Jim Ned, Lamesa, Greenwood, Abilene High and Wylie will also have individual med-alists who are competing in the tournament.
