Former Sweetwater High School athlete Alicia Finn had a perfect shooting day from the field on Saturday against Trinity University when she made her debut for the Hardin-Simmons University girls basketball team, helping them to a 77-75 victory at Trinity’s Thanksgiving tournament in San Antonio. Finn, a freshman, had four points in the game for the Cowgirls as she made her only field goal attempt in the contest and also sank both of her free throw shots.
The 6-0 Finn twice won first team all-district and second-team all-Big Coun-try honors in basketball while at Sweetwater and was also a standout in soft-ball and track.
After winning 63-62 over Southwestern on Sunday, Hardin-Simmons improved to 2-2 after losing its first two games of the season.
