The Dent Company, owned and operated by Scott and Stacy Stevenson, has been in business in Sweetwater since 1994, with the original location on Broadway, providing paintless dent repair and window tinting. "Over the past 20 years, I've traveled to many locations," said Scott. "I've done paintless dent repair in 32 states here in the U.S., as well as Canada, Australia and Austria."
Deciding to expand their business, the Stevensons purchased the Avenue B location, added a paint booth and started doing collision repair. The Dent Company offers auto body repair and paint, paintless dent repair, windshield repair and replacement and auto detail.
The other faces of The Dent Company are Lewis Lagal, Travis Wallas, Candace Craver and Tye Jeffrey. Lagal has been with The Dent Company for 19 years doing paintless dent repair and body work. Wallas has been with the company for six years and brings 30 years of experience to the business. Craver has been with The Dent Company for seven years, greeting customers, setting up appointments and ordering parts. Jeffrey is new to the business and does auto detail work.
Scott grew up in McCaulley and graduated high school there. He went on to attend Angelo State University. His mother owns The Print Company and customizes vinyl t-shirts and monogramming. Stacy grew up in Roby and graduated from Angelo State University. She was a teacher in Roby for 22 years before leaving the profession to travel with her husband and help run the business. Stacy's father, Vernon Terry, is a farmer and rancher and has farmed land in Roby for over 50 years.
The Stevensons have three boys. Tyler, 24, graduated from Texas Tech University this past December. He is employed with The Dent Company doing paintless dent repair. Tanner, 21, and Trey, 20, both attend Texas Tech University.
Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. "We want to invite the public to come by and see our new building," said the Stevensons. "The Dent Company Collision Center is providing a technologically advanced facility, with an energy-efficient paint booth from the leaders in ecologically friendly paint booth technology. We will be offering rental car service very soon as well." Stop by The Dent Company, located at 102 W Avenue B in Sweetwater.
