Funeral services for Craig Parker, 42, of Sweetwater, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Tommie J. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation and wake will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories from 6-8 p.m.
Parker died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
He was born Feb. 20, 1970 in Giddings, Texas. He married Mica Elaine Blueford on April 22, 1999 in Sweetwater. Craig had lived in Sweetwater for the past 19 years. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 16 years and retired in Aug. 2012 due to health reasons. He was a graduate of Dime Box High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mica Parker of Sweetwater; son, Kenneth Norman of Lubbock; daughter, Kelsey Parker of Sweetwater; parents, Melvin and Maggie Roberson of Lincoln; granddaughter, Kendra Norman of Austin; five brothers, Michael Parker of Giddings, Kenneth “Boobie” Parker and wife Sheena of Bryan, Eric Clemons and wife Jennifer of Giddings, Derrick Roberson and wife Heather of Paige, and Darren Roberson and wife Judy of Kyle; three sisters, Sherron Moore and husband Robert of Dime Box, Keshia Dotson of Lubbock, and Jacqueline Stowers of Round Rock.
Pallbearers are Benny Carrington, Freddie Martinez, Tim Holsey, Joe Garza, Tony Delora, and BJ Seaton.
