County honors fallen heroes

A flag raising ceremony was held at the Nolan County Courthouse on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012, to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty.
Raising the flag were members of Team Chip Tae Kwon Do in Sweetwater. The Nolan County Honor Guard is shown during the ceremony giving a gun salute. Pictured are Tommy Millett, Lionel Mendez and Bradley Willman.
A wreath was also placed next to the World War II memorial at the courthouse. The guest speaker was former Chief of Police Jim Kelley, a Vietnam War Veteran.
Also speaking were Nolan County VCSO Robert R. McBride, Nolan County Judge Tim Fambrough and Dan McCoy. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #2479 in Sweetwater hosted a coffee and donut fellowship after the ceremony.
