Many classes of Sweetwater High School have planned reunions for Homecoming weekend in Sweetwater, Sept. 20-22.
The Class of 1968 is celebrating their 45th reunion and hosting the All Class Reunion during Homecoming on Sept. 20.
The event will kick off at 2 p.m. with the Exes Tea at Sweetwater High School and ends with a reception which runs from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Texas Theatre, hosted by Randy and Jolanda Hendricks.
Admission to the reception is free and is BYOB.
Events on Saturday, Sept. 21 will begin with a 7:30 a.m. tee time at the Sweetwater Country Club. The fee of $30 includes a cart; call 325-235-8484 to let the pro know to reserve your cart.
Starting at 3 p.m. and running until midnight is the all-reunion event at the WASP Museum. Admission to the WASP Museum on Saturday will be $20 with meal and $10 without meal, and this event is BYOB as well.
Only 200 meal tickets will be available. Persons wishing to attend should send checks to Linda Miller, 7099 U.S. Hwy 277, Abilene, Texas 79601, indicating $20 meal ticket or $10 entrance ticket (no meal) and number of persons with an e-mail address and a phone number for return confirmation.
After ticket purchase is confirmed, tickets in the form of name tags will be held for ticket holders at the WASP Museum on reunion day. Please note what class (example: Class of 1968) should be listed on the name tag (if any) as well as each name for the tags.

On Sunday, Sept. 22 there will be a 9 a.m. worship service at Newman Park. A cabana will be provided by the Chuck Wagon Gang and National League Ball Park; bring your own chairs.

The Sweetwater Newman High School class of 1963 will gather for the 50th class reunion on Sept. 20-22. The public is invited to a reception at the Sweetwater Country Club at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. For more information, contact Bob Hefner at 325-235-3389.
The Classes of 1983 and 1988 will be celebrating their reunions during Homecoming weekend, Sept. 20-21. Both classes are currently collecting classmate contact information, which can be submitted on their Facebook page "Class of 1983" or by email at email@example.com.
On Friday, Sept. 20, classmates will meet at the SHS pep rally at 3 p.m. then at 7:30 p.m. for the football game. On Saturday, Sept. 21, classmates will meet for lunch at noon at the Lumberyard in Roscoe.
The Class of 1988 (25 year) and Class of 1983 (30 year) are also hosting the All 80's Big Hair Reunion dinner and dance on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Jaycee Barn. A dinner will be catered by Jason Browning, DDS at 6:30 p.m., followed by a dance at 8 p.m. (BYOB).
There will be a $30 fee per person for both events, or cost $15 for the dance only.
Tickets for the meal and dance can be picked up at the door, and the dance-only fee will be accepted at the door. The dance is open to the public.
