City Commission meeting to be held, January 9

The City Commission of the City of Sweetwater, Texas, will meet in regular session on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. in the City Commission Room of the City Hall, 200 E. 4th Street, Sweetwater, TX.
1.Call to order.
2.Invocation.
3.Pledges of Allegiance to the Flags of the United States of America and the State of Texas.
4.Recognition of Future Sweetwater Participants
5.City Commission to discuss, consider and act upon approval of minutes for the meetings held on December 12, 2017, and December 19, 2017.
6.Action Items.
A.Resolution: City Commission to discuss, consider and act upon Resolution approving submission of grant application for Rifle-Resistant Body Armor.
B. City Commission to discuss, consider and act upon approval of the Quarterly Investment Report for the quarter ended December 31, 2017.
C. City Commission to discuss, consider and act upon reappointment of Jim Lee and Dan McCoy, and new appointments of Crystal Thomas, Jeff Stein, Ricky Castro and Lloyd Harris to the Sweetwater Cemetery Board, whose terms expire January 31, 2020.
D. City Commission to discuss, consider and act upon reappointment of Stacy Robles Boil, and the appointment of Robin Thompson to the Pioneer City-County Museum, whose terms expire January 31, 2020.
E. City Commission to discuss, consider and act upon approving rules for “City Flag Design Contest”, and appointing a selection committee to choose finalists for the Commission’s consideration at a future meeting.
