The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 55 calls for service, issued eight citations and made two arrests on May 1, 2012.
The SPD received 22, 911 calls.
Calls for service:
• Sexual assault — Sweetwater.
• Theft — Vista Court.
• Assault — 400 block of NE Georgia.
• Assault — 200 block of SE Georgia.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — 200 block of W. Avenue D.
Arrested by SPD:
• Ronald Bell, 42 — Public intoxication.
• Gabriel Villa, 38 — Unlawful restraint.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had seven calls for service, served seven civil papers and made no arrests on May 1, 2012.
Calls for service:
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 255 west bound.
• Information only — I-20 west of Roscoe.
• Reckless driver — I-20 exit 251 west bound.
• Missing person — CR 227.
• Alarm — E. Broadway, Roscoe.
• Animal control — CR 252.
• Vehicle accident — I-20 MM 235 east bound.
