Allsup’s coming to Sweetwater

Many trees were recently taken down and concrete work has begun at the former First Financial Bank motor bank on Broadway to prepare for the Allsup's store that will be in that location.

I'm all for progress but dang! I would venture to say that most of those trees that were just cut down were older than the average Sweetwater citizen. It's really a shame that businesses can't incorporate some of nature into their plan. Ever noticed that when you drive through the middle of downtown it feels like a blast furnace but when you head out into the country it cools off? All of that unshaded concrete and pavement will equal more HEAT. I just wish we could all be a little more "green" in this aspect. On a brighter note, I am really excited about them greasy burritos.
