35 indicted by Grand Jury

The Nolan County Grand Jury handed down 32 indictments, 24 of which were sealed.
Four of those indicted included Dalton James Dauel, Timothy Rene Cantu, Xavier Rene Limones and Rita Jo Chase for engaging in organized criminal activity, a first degree felony. Court documents state that the four knowingly manufactured, delivered or possesses with the intent to deliver methamphetamine in the amount of 400 grams or more on Jan. 6, 2012. Their bonds were each set at $25,000 and they each face 15-99 years or life in prison if found guilty.
The following cases were true-billed:
Richard Devora was indicted for money laundering, a third degree felony. Court documents state that Devora knowingly concealed or transported the proceeds of criminal activity — U.S. money — valued at $20,000 or more but less than $100,000 on June 13, 2012. His bond was set at $7,500.
Nicholas Ray Bustamante was indicted for assault on a public servant, a third degree felony. Court documents state that he spit in the face of a Nolan County peace officer while being booked in Nolan County Jail on June 15, 2012. His bond was set for $10,000. Bustamante was also indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony. Court documents state that he threatened a woman with a butcher knife on June 15, 2012. His bond for that offense was set at $15,000.
Jason Dale Allen was indicted for continuous violence against the family, a third degree felony. Court documents state that Allen caused bodily injury to a member of his family by shoving the victim to the ground on April 12, 2012 and grabbing the victim by the arm on Sept. 18, 2011. His bond was set at $10,000.
Christie Hope Martinez was indicted for prohibited substance in a correctional facility, a third degree felony. Court documents state that she possessed heroin while in the Nolan County Jail on May 28, 2012. Her bond was set at $7,500.
Keenan Alan Rook was indicted for unauthorized use of a vehicle, a state jail felony. Court documents state that he operated a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner on May 23, 2012. His bond was set at $5,000.
Samuel Adam Bersosa was indicted for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a state jail felony. Court documents state that he operated a motor vehicle on May 27, 2012, while intoxicated with a child passenger under the age of 15. His bond was set at $5,000.
