Roscoe welcomes two new businesses

The City of Roscoe recently welcomed two new businesses with ribbon cutting ceremonies. Shown are residents at the ribbon cutting ceremony for The Turquoise Toad, located at 101 Cypress Street.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was also held for Roscoe Thrift Store, located at 905 1/2 Broadway.

Benefit dance planned for Friday

There will be a Benefit Dance at The Lumberyard in Roscoe on Friday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go towards cancer treatment, prescriptions and pain management for Krysti (Weems) Medellin. All ages are welcome and encouraged to come and have a good time while donating to a good cause.

Game Warden to host hunter education class this Saturday

SW wins playoff berth

October 22, 2014

A 3-0 win over Lamesa on Tuesday sends Sweetwater into the Class 4A volleyball playoffs. The 25-17, 25-16, 25-8 win at Mustang Gym also kept Sweetwater (5-3 in district, 20-12 season) a game ahead of fourth-place Snyder (4-4) with two matches left.

Sweetwater 7th grade ‘A’ and 8th grade ‘B’ teams will host Monahans, 4 p.m.
