Tomorrow, August 1, a fundraiser benefitting the family of J.J. Solano will be held at the Sweetwater Sears parking lot on Broadway from 11 a.m. until sold out.
A brisket sandwich/chips/drink combo will be sold for donation. There will also be some baked goods for sale while they last.

In this 1983 photo, Coach Rick "Blades" Davis is shown preparing an ankle wrap for the Mustang's varsity punter, Michael Glass. The Mustangs ended their season just short of state with a 7-2-1 record that year, the best since 1968.
Michael Glass made his home in Sweetwater, where he and his wife Shelly have raised two sons, and are now blessed with beautiful grandchildren. Be sure and look Mike up at the 30th Class Reunion at Homecoming this year.

Reserved season football tickets for the 2015 season at Sweetwater High School will be up for renewal to current option holders for the next two weeks beginning Monday, July 27.
Tickets may be purchased at the Sweetwater ISD ad-ministration office on 207 Musgrove and are good for five home games â€” Sept. 4 against Muleshoe (home-coming), Sept. 25 against Andrews, Oct. 9 against Fort Stockton, Oct. 16 against Midland Greenwood and Oct. 30 against Pecos.
