Mustangs win in a blowout

GREENWOOD — Sweet-water’s football team is 7-0 — the first team in 17 years to accomplish that feat.
For all that success, how-ever, the Mustangs haven’t exactly dominated most of their 2014 opponents. And although they came into Midland Greenwood at 1-0 in District 2-4A, Division II play, the previous week’s win at Fort Stockton (34-28) came after Sweetwater fell behind by 14 points.

Events scheduled for Monday

Tonight, October 20, there will be a Goodfellows meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Sweetwater Fire Station.
Goodfellows mission is to provide food and toys to needy children and their families during the Christmas Holidays. Those who would like to help be a part of this organization are asked to attend the meeting.
Also starting at 5:30 p.m., Hoyt Place, located at 1700 Hoyt Avenue, will have a Wild, Wild Country Western Party on Monday, October 20, 2014 until 7:30 p.m.
