TSTC to host culinary class

October 20, 2014

Texas State Technical College in Sweetwater will host a culinary class from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Culinary Classroom. The cost of the class is $35. The class is entitled, "Soup Trade Secrets from Chef Kayleen and Chef Brin."

Donald Wayne Thomas

Funeral services for Donald Wayne Thomas, 70, of Sweetwater, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Mike Crowley officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
He died on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

SW is almost playoff bound despite loss at L’land

Mustangs win in a blowout

GREENWOOD — Sweet-water’s football team is 7-0 — the first team in 17 years to accomplish that feat.
For all that success, how-ever, the Mustangs haven’t exactly dominated most of their 2014 opponents. And although they came into Midland Greenwood at 1-0 in District 2-4A, Division II play, the previous week’s win at Fort Stockton (34-28) came after Sweetwater fell behind by 14 points.
