Tax free weekend begins this Friday

August 6, 2014

Starting on Friday, citizens all across the Lone Star State will have the opportunity to save some money on their back-to-school shopping during Tax-Free Weekend.
The three days of savings — which runs through Sunday, Aug. 10 — will be the sixteenth time Texas offers its residents a slight break in their school supply and clothing purchases.
Items eligible for tax-free savings must be priced under $100. Once again, lay-away plans can be used this year to take advantage of the tax-free savings, as noted on the State Comptroller's website.
