John V. (Johnny Vaughn) Dudley, age 75, of Abilene (former resident of Nolan), passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at The Oaks at Radford Hills.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Slaterâ€™s Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Evaristo Hernandez, Jr., age 48, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his residence.
His body was cremated. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Evaristo was born on Nov. 29, 1965 in Sweetwater, Texas to Evaristo Hernandez, Sr., and Virginia (Hermisillo) Hernandez. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by two sons, Brant Hernandez and Nathan Hernandez, both of Sweetwater; two grandsons, Brant Hernandez, Jr. and Lorenzo
Graveside services for Roy Lynn Hickson, 61, of Poolville, Texas will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery. Rev. Mike Sells will officiate and interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Hickson died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Poolville, Texas.
Roy was born Aug. 2, 1952, in Rotan, Texas to Buford and Pauline Hickson. He loved cars and motorcycles. He was a diesel mechanic.
Irene Gordon LeFever, age 81, of Roscoe passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at a Lubbock hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Roscoe with Reverend Juanelle Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at the Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Bobbie Katherine Harbuck, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Broadway Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Stephens and Reverend James Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the funeral home.
Samuel "Sammy" Gutierrez, age 53, of Sweetwater, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
A rosary was held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Domingo Castillo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church) with Deacon Bill Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
ARLINGTON â€” Alvina Moncada, 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 13, 2014.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday in Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at Parkdale Cemetery. Visitation took place from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at Arlington Chapel with prayer service at 6 p.m.

Toland died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
She was born July 18, 1935 in West, Texas. She was a long-time hair stylist and had owned and operated Yandellâ€™s Beauty Shop in Sweetwater.
Mrs. Bobbie Jo Banks, age 69, of Colorado City, passed away at a Lubbock hospital on March 11, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Jackson officiating.
Bobbie was born on March 23, 1944 in Sylvarena, MS to A.B. and Christine Bender. Bobbie married Russell Banks on Oct. 16, 1978, in Reno, NV. She was a member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Sweetwater.
Stephenville â€” Coach Boyd Lowry, 90, principal, coach and teacher, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Martin officiating assisted by Bob Cervetto. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honors. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Coach Lowry was born on Feb. 15, 1924, to H.L. and Roxie (Young) Lowry. He married Joyce Marie Fields on August 14, 1954, in Fairy, Texas.
