Mr. William A. Maxfield, 87, of Snyder, died on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 in Lubbock, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Services for Mr. Maxfield will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Reverend Nicky Johnson officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
W.A. (Yank) Maxfield was born Nov. 15, 1926 in Mount Carmel, Illinois to John Christian and Lena Bender Maxfield.
Thanet Kramer never missed the opportunity to take one last picture of departing family, or, more specifically, to have husband Nick take the picture while she kept the subjects from escaping without the requisite memorial. The scene was repeated innumerable times, whether it was a daughter leaving home for the first day of school, a college sophomore returning to the dorm after a holiday or a grown son trying to load his family into the car for a long drive home.
Funeral services for Aubrey Lee Turner, 87, of Sweetwater, will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Chris Stephens and Rev. James Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
He died on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at McCoy Funeral Home.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1927 in Sweetwater. He married Ruby Lee Youngblood on Dec. 24, 1948 in Garrison, Texas.
Jesse Ray Penton, age 90, of Sweetwater, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Tique Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow with the U.S. Naval Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 from 6-8 p.m.
Rita Jane Thompson, 71, was wrapped in the arms of Jesus on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 as she passed away from complications following knee surgery.Â She was, no doubt, met by the love of her life, John, as she was reunited with her husband of 38 years after being apart for the past three.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Southern Hills Church of Christ, with burial to follow at Texas Veteranâ€™s Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Northâ€™s Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street, on Monday, Nov. 3 from 5-7 p.m.Â
Joey Wayne Ronemus, beloved son, brother, father, friend and soldier went to be at peace with our Heavenly Father Oct. 18, 2014.Â Â Â
Clara J. Hale, 85, went to be with the lord on Oct. 31, 2014.
Clara was born on June 30, 1929 in DeKalb, TX to Joe and Elizabeth Hancock. Clara married Clive Hale on Dec. 22, 1944. Clara was a housewife and a mother of five children â€” one boy and four girls. Clara always looked after her family and never turned anyone away. She was always taking care of her siblings when they were ill and showed her family what unconditional love truly was.
Memorial services for Barbara Jean Lemmons, 72, of Sweetwater, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Greater Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Carey conducting.
She died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Abilene Regional Hospital in Abilene.
Barbara loved her family very much and she was a member of Church of Christ, loved shopping, dancing, television and most of all working puzzles.
Graveside services for Clyde H. Walker, 84, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Mike Ensminger officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
He died on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at Big Spring Nursing Home.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1930 in Vanoss, Okla. He married Mary Kathryn Richardson on June 19, 1954 in Sand Springs, Okla.
Stevie Lee Hollon, 62, of Abilene, (formerly of Sweetwater), went home to be with God on Oct. 24, 2014. He was born Jan. 26, 1952. He was a wonderful husband, daddy and preacher.
