Season ticket renewals continue

July 29, 2015

Reserved season football tickets for the 2015 season at Sweetwater High School will be up for renewal to current option holders for the next two weeks beginning Monday, July 27.
Tickets may be purchased at the Sweetwater ISD ad-ministration office on 207 Musgrove and are good for five home games — Sept. 4 against Muleshoe (home-coming), Sept. 25 against Andrews, Oct. 9 against Fort Stockton, Oct. 16 against Midland Greenwood and Oct. 30 against Pecos.

Events for area children continue this week

July 28, 2015

For the remainder of the week, First Salem Lutheran Church, located at 923 Main Street in Roscoe, in association with Briarwood Camp, will be hosting Day Camp through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Children between the ages of 4 and 10 are welcome. For more information or to register your child, call 325-338-6885.
And Faith Harvest Church, located at 408 Alamo on the corner of Sam Houston in Sweetwater, will hold their Vacation Bible school entitled "Wilderness Escape" through Friday at 6 to 8 p.m. nightly.

Tomorrow, July 28, a Sweetwater Tennis Camp will be held through July 30 at the Sweetwater Middle School courts from 8 a.m. to noon each day for students entering grades 4-9.

Also continuing is a Day Camp hosted by First Salem Lutheran Church, located at 923 Main Street in Roscoe, in association with Briarwood Camp through July 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Local events scheduled this weekend

July 24, 2015

Tomorrow, July 25, Mike Hart, 4-H archery coach, will have a class from 10 a.m. to noon on FM 419 (Oil Mill Road) and CR 271, across from Cholla Petroleum.
Also, the Sweetwater Jaycees will host their Family Day. Swimming will be from 1-6 p.m. at the City Pool and they will serve dinner in the park.
There will also be Jaycees from other chapters joining in on the activities. Jaycees, Roosters and Jayteens and their families are invited to attend.
The Second Annual Sweetwater Car Show will be held at Newman Park from 2 to 6 p.m. Hotdogs and hamburgers will be sold.
