Spring tennis starts

February 19, 2015

Sweetwater High School began its spring tennis season with a dual match at Clyde, followed by a one-day tournament this past Friday held at San Angelo Lake View.

Merle Haggard to headline at Roscoe’s Spring Super Sunday

Roscoe's Spring Super Sunday will be held on March 29, 2015 from noon until 10 p.m.
Retail hours will run until 6 p.m., with The Lumberyard open for the duration of the event. Live music will start at 3 p.m.

Autism topic of upcoming TSTC event

Walker Kyle is an expert on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). He will be presenting a four-hour conference on Saturday, March 7 at Texas State Technical College designed to educate parents and caregivers of children afflicted with ASD on how to develop strategies to deal with the disorder.

FCCLA students visit J.P. Cowen

Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently visited J.P. Cowen Early Childhood Center to spread the word about the importance of nutrition. Members worked very hard in weeks leading up to this visit.

Mustangs end with big run but Lobos hang on

Until the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s finale, Sweet-water was on its way to a lopsided defeat at Mustang Gym. Then the tide began turning for the home team, starting with a free throw with 7:27 to play by Jacob Peyton that cut Levelland’s lead to 71-41.

Roscoe, Blackwell boys end with a loss

February 18, 2015

The Roscoe boys bas-ketball team ended its season on Tuesday with a 54-36 loss to Stamford.
In 14-1A, Blackwell’s boys lost to Bronte 53-20 in their finale to go 0-14 in district and 3-16 over-all.
